Quote: “The more one knows of creation, the more one knows of God.”

Reflection: St. Albert saw no divide between faith and science. For him, the study of nature was an act of worship — a way of marveling at God’s handiwork. When we open our eyes to creation, we glimpse the beauty and order of its Maker. Each new discovery, whether in the classroom or in prayer, becomes a moment of awe. Learning well and living well are both forms of praise.

Prayer: Lord, help me to seek You in all that is true, good, and beautiful. May my mind and heart grow in wonder at the world You have made. Amen.

About St. Albert the Great

St. Albert the Great (c. 1200–1280) was a Dominican friar, bishop, and scholar known for his vast knowledge of science, philosophy, and theology. Teacher to St. Thomas Aquinas, he was called the “Universal Doctor” for his mastery of many fields. Yet despite his brilliance, Albert remained humble, seeing all learning as a way to glorify God. He helped the Church see that faith and reason, creation and revelation, all point to the same divine truth.
