His courage was not born of strength, but of surrender — trusting that God’s grace could shine even through pain. When we face rejection, difficulty, or fear, we can find peace by uniting our hearts to Christ, who transforms every wound into mercy.
Prayer: Lord, through the example of St. Isaac Jogues, teach me to forgive freely and to love without fear. May Your peace dwell in my heart when I face hardship, and may I find joy in trusting You completely.
About St. Isaac Jogues
St. Isaac Jogues (1607–1646) was a French Jesuit missionary who carried the Gospel to the native peoples of North America. Captured and tortured, he endured with remarkable faith and later returned to the same land to continue his mission. He was ultimately martyred for the faith, offering his life in forgiveness and love.
